🎶  Oh, say can you see! 🎶  It’s that time of year where we celebrate our country’s Independence! It’s a time for barbecues, gathering with friends and family and, of course, FIREWORKS! Every year people ask the question, “Where are the best places to see fireworks in Houston?” Whether you’re looking for festivals, parades, or just awesome firework shows, here’s a comprehensive, alphabetical (by city) list of 34 of the best places/venues to celebrate our Nation’s independence in Houston, Katy, TX and around the city!

🎇 Baytown: 

Be a part of this 2-day July 4th celebration with live music, game booths and vendors! The big fireworks extravaganza is 9:30 pm. Located at Bicentennial Park, 1001 Market St.

🎆 Conroe:

Fireworks over Lake Conroe at Lake Conroe.  The event takes place July 4 at the San Jacinto River Authority. Enjoy authentic Americana food, snow cones and fun! Fireworks are available for the public to view on the south end of the lake. Prime viewing locations: on Lake Conroe, Fajita Jacks as well as locations near Waterpoint Shopping Center on Hwy 105. 7:00-10:00 pm.

🎇 Cypress:

Bring the family and come to TowneLake on The Boardwalk green for an Independence Day Celebration! Enjoy a live band, patriotic festivities, plus all-american favorites from their restaurants! 12:00 – 2:00 pm 9945 Barker Cypress Rd. Cypress, TX 77433

🎆 Friendswood:

The city will host its 121st annual Friendswood July 4th Celebration with a 10 am parade featuring more than 100 entries. Live entertainment and afternoon fun until 3:30 pm. The evening festivities kick off at 7:30 pm at Centennial Park with live music by Decades. Fireworks begin around 9:20 pm. There is no public parking at Centennial Park. Shuttles are available at Friendswood High School and Friendswood United Methodist Church. Parade & Day program: 10:00-3:30 pm, night program: 7:30 pm and fireworks: @ 9:20 pm. The carnival will take place in Stevenson Park on Tuesday, July 4th as a part of the 122nd annual 4th of July Celebration and will begin immediately following the Grand Parade.  The event is free to attend, however the wristbands will allow participants unlimited access to all rides at the event.

🎇 Fulshear:

Fulshear Freedom Festival in Downtown Fulshear| FREE – enjoy music from the ’80s new wave band The Spazmatics, children’s activities, fireworks, shopping, food, and a parade featuring the DeLorean from Back to the Future. 6pm to 9pm.

🎆 Galveston Bay:

Come see the famed Fourth of July Celebration at Kemah Boardwalk. It’s filled with live music, great food and an amazing show of fireworks over the bay. Fireworks start @ 9:30!

🎇 Houston:

CITGO Freedom Over Texas, Eleanor Tinsley Park, July 4. 4:00pm-10:00pm | $10 per person on July 4th | For the first time in the event’s history, the celebration will kick off with a patriotic tribute by United States Air Force Band of the West. Grammy-nominated and CMA-winning artist, HUNTER HAYES will follow before multi-platinum selling, 2016 MTV Video Music Award-winning DNCE takes the stage. The events are from 4 p.m. – 10 p.m. 500 Allen Parkway, Houston, TX 77002

🎆 Houston:

Miller Outdoor Theatre: ExxonMobil Summer Symphony Nights: Star-Spangled Salute, July 4. 8:30pm (fireworks begin at 10:00 pm), FREE | Celebrate Independence Day at Miller Outdoor Theatre. Featuring patriotic tunes and post-concert fireworks. This is a ticketed event for the covered seating area. Free tickets are available (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance between the hours of 10:30am-1pm. If tickets remain at 1pm, the box office will re-open one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. There is open seating on the hill.

🎇 Houston:

Bellaire:The annual 4th of July Parade and Festival will take place on Tuesday, July 4, 2017. The parade begins at 9:30 am and is followed by the community festival from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Bring the entire family and enjoy the parades, carnival games and rides, petting zoo and much more! Festival held at Bellaire Town Square and Loftin Park. This year’s theme is America’s Superheroes!

🎆 Houston:

CityCentre: 4th of July Weekend at CityCentre, July 1-4, FREE | Tuesday, July 4 from 7 – 11 PM: People’s Choice Band (Country & Rock) & 15 minute fireworks spectacular at 9:30 PM. Parking will be $10 in all CITYCENTRE garages beginning at 4 PM. Please allow extra time for parking before and after the event due to large attendance; carpooling and ride sharing such as Uber are highly encouraged, new Uber riders can use the code CCJuly417 to receive their first ride free up to $20.

🎇 Houston:

Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens: Enjoy the annual July Fourth Celebrationat Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens! performers, crafts, activities, refreshments, and more. Children’s Museum of Houston: Come celebrate our country’s 241st birthday with CMH’s Kidpendence Day celebration! Dress in your best red, white and blue outfit! There will be lots of Independence Day fun! The museum, open 10 am – 6 pm, is located at 1500 Binz, Houston, TX 77004

The Katy Freedom Celebration Enjoy aday filled with activities on Saturday, July 1st from 9 am – 1 pm.  The morning program will be from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the City of Katy complex between the Katy Fire Department and VFW Park.  There will be plenty of activities hosted by the Katy Fire Department, and Katy Parks & Recreation Department.  The evening program of fireworks and music will be held in the area near Typhoon Texas and Katy Mills Mall and will take place between 8 and 10 p.m.

🎇 Katy:

LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch’s 4th of July Celebration presented by Texas Children’s Hospital West Campus. The fun begins at 4:00 pm with the Kids’ Patriotic Bike Parade at Central Green Park at LaCenterra. Make sure they come with their decorated, patriotic bikes! There will be an interactive Kids’ Zone, food, live music and the fireworks will begin at 9:15 pm. LaCenterra is located at 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd in Katy.

🎆 Katy:

Cane Island’s Red, White & Blue Stars and Stripes Festival: Start your Independence Day weekend with a blast! Celebrate with moon bounces, a petting zoo, popcorn, snow cones, face painting, balloon twisters and more! July 1st 12:00-4:00.

🎇 Kemah Boardwalk:

Rock the Dock Fourth of July Celebration: Live music & Patriotic fireworks show over Galveston Bay – 9:30pm

🎇 Kingwood:

Kingwood is hosting a July 4th Festival and Fireworks event on July 4th from 2:00 pm – 9:00 pm at Town Center Park. It will have live music, craft and food booths, kids zones and fireworks.  Come on out and enjoy the fun!

🎆 League City:

League City is hosting its Citizen Appreciation Day11:00 am – 3:00 pm featuring live music, face painting, petting zoo, moonwalks, free food, and family fun. Located at League Park, 512 2nd Street.

🎇 League City:

The City will host its first ever “Light Up the Sky Fireworks Spectacular,” a pre-Independence Day celebration on Monday, July 3 from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. at Chester L. Davis Sportsplex, 1251 W. League City Parkway. enjoy a colorful light show, a variety of food trucks, live music, entertainment and inflatables. Admission to the event is free. Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs to watch the fireworks show, which will begin at sundown.

🎆 Missouri City:

It’s a July 4th celebration from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at Buffalo Run Park, 1122 Buffalo Run Blvd. FREE activities will be available for children including rides, moonwalks, a rock wall, face painting and more! Food will be available for purchase from the finest food trucks and local vendors and a fireworks show will wrap up the evening. The show will begin at 9:15 pm and stadium seating will be available at Thurgood Marshall High School.  Event parking around Thurgood Marshall High School will be limited and taking advantage of Metro shuttles at the Park & Ride location (13849 Fondren Rd) is highly encouraged. Metro busses will be running from 5:30 pm until the conclusion of the event. These shuttles are FREE and offer a close drop off to the event location!

🎇 Navasota:

“Fireworks on the Brazos,”  the annual 4th of July celebration at Washington on the Brazos includes a fun-filled day of family activities. All sites of the park are open from 10-7. Family programs will run at Independence Hall at 11 a.m. and 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 p.m., followed by old fashioned period baseball games at between 6 and 7 p.m. Food and craft vendors will offer a variety of items for sale throughout the event. Located near the Visitor’s Center, H-E-B will give away free sodas at 5:30 p.m. Free concert by Cody Bryan Band from 7 to 9 p.m. in the park’s amphitheater. Fireworks extravaganza with patriotic music at approximately 9:30 p.m. Buses will run constantly from 1 to 10 p.m. to shuttle guests to the different areas of the park, at no charge. As always, admission to the park and parking is free. Fees apply for access to Independence Hall; the Star of the Republic Museum; and Barrington Living History Farm.

🎆 Pasadena:

The city’s Annual 4th Fest begins at 4 p.m., and throughout the day, there will be activities, competitions and entertainment for the whole family. To help beat the heat, the air-conditioned Convention Center will be transformed into a KidZone, full of inflatable bouncers and games for kids. The event will also feature the USMC Toys for Tots BBQ cook-off, live music by The Powell Brothers, a special patriotic concert performed by the Pasadena Philharmonic, sports, games, a water balloon war zone, and a variety of food and novelty vendors. The Car and Truck Show will return again this year from 4-6 p.m. and is open to motorcycles, cars and trucks. Participants can register the day of the event for $20. Awards will be given in many different categories at an awards presentation at 5:30 p.m. In addition, the first 100 people registered will receive a special edition calendar, and all participants will have a chance to have their vehicle featured in next year’s calendar for the event. The City of Pasadena will have a 20-minute firework show, scheduled to begin at approximately 9:15 p.m. on July 4 in celebration of Independence Day. The fireworks will be the final activity at the city’s 4th Fest celebration, a free event that will be held at the Pasadena Convention Center and Municipal Fairgrounds (7902 Fairmont). Admission to the 4th Fest is free.

🎇 Pearland:

Pearland’s Celebration of Freedom will have a free concert and fireworks show July 4 with gates opening at 6 pm. There will be craft and novelty vendors, inflatables, food trucks and a military salute will begin the evening’s entertainment followed by the National Anthem on the H-E-B Entertainment Stage. At sundown, enjoy a spectacular fireworks display unleashed by Westside Veterinary Hospital from your seat inside the stadium. Food and glow trinkets will be available for purchase. Parking and seating are free of charge. 6:00pm-10:00pm at Pearland High School Football Stadium, 3775 S. Main.

🎆 Richmond:

George Ranch Historical Park is hosting July 4th fun. Your family will love the vintage games, parade, hands-on history, cobbler eating contest and more! A Historic Lunch is served for an extra fee beyond admission. Located at 10215 FM 762 in Richmond.  The fun begins at 9:00am.

🎇 Rosenberg:

Come on out to Rosenberg’s Family 4th Celebration! This free event includes a carnival area for the children, horse-drawn wagon rides through the park, food vendors, live musical entertainment from the main stage, and a spectacular fireworks show to end the evening! The fun starts at 6:00 pm at the Seabourne Creek Nature Park at 3831 Highway 36 South in Rosenberg.

🎆 Spring:

Fourth of July Fireworks at Wet’n’Wild SplashTownCelebrate the Fourth of July with the kids and enjoy a night of fireworks, music, games and much more at Wet’n’Wild SplashTown in Spring. 7:00am to 9:00pm. 🎇 Stafford:

TheCity of Stafford hosts its annual July 3rd Celebration with a parade at 7:00pm, game booths, free carnival and hay rides, and a free dance from 8:00pm to 11:30pm. This free, festive performance is at Stafford Centre, 15050 Cash Road. They will have a Freedom Rings Concert on July 4th at 7:00pm with fireworks following at 9:00 pm.

🎆 Sugar Land:

The city’s Star-Spangled Spectacular is July 4 at 18355 Southwest Freeway. Participants are encouraged to bring blankets to spread out in the field as they enjoy the variety of free entertainment, patriotic music, activity booths, and the fireworks finale after sunset. Performances will include: DJ/Drummer, Don Vaughn, Electro Hip-Hop Violinist, Svet, and Satellite Band.  Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The event is from 5:00pm-10:00pm.

🎇 Sugar Land:

4th of July Fireworks Festival at New Territory Sports Complex Soccer Fields New Territory Parks and Recreation will host their annual July 4th Fireworks Festival with activities, music and food.  It will run from 6:00pm-10:00pm.  There is no ticket required to access the festival – it’s FREE to everyone!  ATTRACTIONS FOR KIDS
A wristband (cash only) is required to access the attractions -Yellow wristband (ages 5 & under) – $12 | Petting zoo, trackless train, bounce house, face painting ferris wheel, carousel -Red wristband (ages 6 & up) – $20 | Quad jumper, rockwall, superslide, obstacle course, laser tag, chair swings, round up.  PARKING INFORMATION:
The Sports Complex parking lot will be closed to the public. Free parking and shuttle services from the parking lots adjacent to the Tennis Center and Parkway Church on New Territory Blvd. The parking lot at the Sports Complex will be closed for staff and vendors.

🎆 Tomball:

Tomball’s Fourth of July Celebration will have live music, the Kroger Kids Zone, food and a fireworks extravaganza at dark.  The fun starts at 5:00pm and the fireworks show will start around 9:30pm.  Admission and parking are free.  Coolers are welcome, but no alcohol or glass containers, and no “pop-up” shade structures may be brought into the event site. Don’t forget the lawn chairs and sun screen!  There will be free mini American flags while supplies last compliments of Allied Siding & Windows.

🎇 Waller:

The Waller Freedom Festival is a two-day celebration July 3rd-4th. The free family event July 3rd 6-9pm Fireworks at dusk, July 4th 3-9pm Fireworks at dusk.  The event is located at Waller High School stadium, 20735 Stokes Road, Waller.  Enjoy arts, crafts, vendors, and kids will love the waterslides, quad jumpers, rock walls, bubble runners and a zorb extreme!

🎆 Webster:

Come on out for their 4th of July Celebrationat Texas Avenue Park Located at 17100 Texas Ave. at 5:00pm. The evening includes A Salute to Veterans, entertainers, games, and fireworks.

🎇 Woodlands:

Red, Hot & Blue Festival & Fireworks Extravaganza
The 42nd Annual 4th of July Parade “Let Freedom Ring” will begin at 9:00 a.m.  More than 20,000 spectators will line the streets in Town Center to celebrate. Grand Marshal Dana Tyson, with Sunny 99.1, will lead over 150 entries, including five marching bands and federal, state and local dignitaries, through the 1.3 mile parade route in The Woodlands Town Center.  Afterwards, head to the Red Hot & Blue Festival at Town Green Park & Waterway Square from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM. The 18th Annual Red, Hot and Blue FestivalTM takes place in The Woodlands Town Center in Town Green Park and Waterway Square.  The evening will close with a fireworks spectacular.  Click HERE for a link for the fireworks launch and event map.
